CDA refers to CD Audio music tracks. This file format is widely used for the distribution of commercial music through compact discs. These files do not contain any information about the actual pulse code modulation. The data is encoded and stored in two types of recording methods. The first Mono requires at least 44.1 kHz of sampling rate and 16 bits of sample size whereas the second Stereo requires at least twice that of Mono. As you may have already predicted, Stereo recording requires much higher storage space compared to Mono.
CDA audio files can be easily converted to other lossy and lossless audio formats using a specialized file conversion software. The advantage of using lossless audio is that every single bit of data can be recovered when you uncompress a music file. Lossy format, on the other hand, recovers only a certain part of the information when you uncompress the original file. This is why lossy file formats reduces your overall file size by a greater extent. When you convert CDA file to other format, only redundant data is removed. A trade off is essential in order to reduce the file size while preserving your original song quality.
Find Duplicate Music Using Clone Files Checker
What Is CFC? And How To Use It?
While it is not possible to manually check each and every music file for duplicates, you can get this task done automatically using a dedicated tool Clone Files Checker.
Clone Files Checker from Sorcim uses advanced scan algorithms to compare your files with lightning speed. CFC is a duplicate file finder utility that supports searching for different kinds of duplicate files- documents, music, images, videos, archives and other files.
Download, install CFC. Copy all of your CDA music files on to your hard disk, preferably on a separate on your Desktop. Use the Add button in the main program interface to add the folder containing these files. Start the scan after setting the scan mode to Custom, and checking the Music option. Once the scan is completed, you’ll be able to see a list of all duplicates found along with basic details about each file. Use the batch selection criteria in Select Duplicates button to automatically select files in bulk. Once the files are selected, the next step is to remove them in bulk. CFC offers emergency Backup facility to restore any deleted files from the History tab should you change your mind in the future. Your backups are compressed to take minimal space. However, compressing your files can take longer. This can increase the deletion time than usual. Alternatively, you have an option to move all duplicates to a separate folder instead of deleting altogether. This option has its own advantages. You can review your CDA music files, at any time, in the future.
CFC: Prominent Features
Here are some of the important features of Clone Files Checker:
- Unique duplicate finding algorithms
