The following error appears on screen while installing or updating apps. Google Play Store fails to perform installation/ upgrade task and aborts the process.

Delete PlayStore & Google Service Framework Cache Contents
Remove Google Services Framework Cache and Google Play Store cache contents. Cache becomes corrupt after continuous use of files.
- Go to Main Menu > Settings page.
- Scroll down the page.
- Tap Apps icon.
- Tap icon on the lower right.
- Tap the name of Google Play Store.
- Tap the following two buttons:
- Clear Data
- Clear Cache
- Follow the same procedure for Google Service Framework app.
- Exit out of the screen.
- Reboot your device. Long press Power key, select Restart option.
Use Recovery Mode
Recovery Mode is too worth trying. The key combinations will vary depending on which phone you use.
- Press Power Key + Volume Up + Home keys simultaneously. For some phones, you’ve to press Volume Down + Power Key.
- This loads Recovery Mode.
- Select “Wipe Cache” option in the new screen.
- A confirmation prompt will appear. Confirm it and proceed next.
Stop and Restart Google Play Store
Sometimes Google Play Service stops responding. In such cases, terminate and re-load the service as shown under:
- Refer to steps # 1-5 under the Delete PlayStore & Google Service Framework Cache Contents section.
- Tap Force Stop button.
- Restart your smartphone.
- In the same manner, restart the service again. This time tap Start button.
Delete Temporary Objects
This is the most crucial step. The problem is temporary files, duplicate contents occupy a large area of your internal memory and external memory like SD Card. Delete them all using ST Cleaner & Booster.
Remove Recently Installed Apps
You might have installed new apps recently. Check for such apps, remove them all.
- Tap Main Menu icon.
- Now that you have thumbnails of all different apps.
- Press and hold thumbnail of a newly installed app. Drag and drop it to “Uninstall” link on the upper corner of the Home Screen.
