- Install the program on your computer and then run it.
- Click the Add button on the left side on the folder selection area.
- Select your desired folder in the Browse Folder dialog box.
- Click OK.
- Next, choose the file type you want to scan.
- Use the All Files option for a broader scan or use the Custom Scan to narrow-down the scan to limit fewer file types. To scan PDF files, use the Documents option in the Custom scan.
- Do you want to set limits for the file sizes? Use the File Size Filters to set minimum and maximum limits such as the range of 5 MB – 50 MB.
- Click on Start Search and wait till the scan is finished.
- The list of duplicates will appear in a multi-column listbox with the file name, location and file size.
- This information will be classified in a tabular form such as All Files, Documents, Images, Videos, and Archives. This makes it easy to filter out unwanted results.
- Review the files list and check the files you want to delete or use the automatic selection feature Select Duplicates and choose a criteria of your choice: newly modified, least modified, etc.
