Control Startup Programs
There are various programs that are programmed to automatically launch on computer bootup. These programs might not be that beneficial as the agony they cause by slowing down the computer during system bootup. Set Performance Options
Fire up System Properties dialog and make sure Windows 10 is set to disable higher CPU consuming features.
For Windows 10
- Press Windows Key + R keys simultaneously.
- Type “sysdm.cpl” in the new dialog, click OK.
- This opens up System Properties dialog box. Click Advanced tab | Settings button (Performance).
- Select “Custom” option and uncheck all checkboxes.
- Click Apply | OK.
Optimize Windows 10 Services

- Press Windows Key + R.
- Type “services.msc” and click OK.

Optimize the Boot-Time Performance
It is important to control all startup items in order to optimize system boot time performance. Here’s how:
For Windows 10
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
- Click “More details” icon.
- Click Startup tab and disable all Non-Microsoft items. Right-click an item, select Disable.
- Exit out of the screen.
Optimize Registry
Download Reginout to analyze the Registry fragmentation. If the Registry is fragmented, quickly defragment/ optimize it. This requires a system boot.
