Clean Up Cloud Duplicates with Cloud Duplicate Finder
Works with OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 and Box
What’s So Great About It?
Hide Cloud Drive is a smart tool that allows users to apply the Deny Access or Read Only policies for their selected cloud drives. It is compatible with Google Drive, Google Drive File Stream, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon Drive, as well as Box.
By selecting the Deny Access policy, the user makes the cloud sync folder inaccessible. The tray icons and shortcuts also disappear, which means that an intruder won’t be able to find or access your cloud data. If you check the Also Applies to Logged on State” option, the selected policy is applied immediately even if you are logged in the cloud service at that moment.
The interesting aspect is that with this tool, you can also apply such security policies to other locations in your computer such as the Desktop, Documents, Pictures, etc. This means that you can apply custom privacy settings on any folder or location you wish to protect.
Hide Cloud Drive is compatible with Windows 7, 8/8.1, 10, and Server 2008 R2. The price range starts from $54 (5 accounts) for a single year. Similarly, 5 accounts cost $99. You can even get a free trial!
What Can Be Improved?
Hide Cloud Drive is a great tool, but there is a downside to it. For now, it only works on cloud drives that come in a computer’s explorer (i.e the ones that are installed). Changes can’t be made to all cloud accounts in the web explorer. We hope that XSecuritas is working towards expanding their services in this regard.
Another factor that must be pin-pointed is that for now, Hide Cloud Drive only works with different Windows variants. If you are a Linux or macOS user, you’ll have to wait a bit until XSecuritas designs their tool for these operating systems as well. The price may also seem a little too much but considering how essential the tool is, I believe it’s not completely unreasonable.
Overall, Hide Cloud Drive is an essential tool in today’s danger infested computing environment. If you want to secure your data and avoid mishaps, you should start using it right away!
