The web browser you’re currently using does not support the HTML5 feature. Switch to a different browser, for example, Google Chrome, Opera or Mozilla FireFox, that comes with compatibility for the HTML5 feature.
Add Netflix to Trusted Sites List
Trusted Sites is the list of websites that do not cause damage to user’s privacy, data and computer system. Add movie and other content streaming site Netflix to the Trusted Sites list using Internet Properties dialog box.
- Press Windows Key + R simultaneously.
- Type inetcpl.cpl and then click OK.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Trusted Sites icon.
- Click Sites.
- Uncheck the box labeled Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
- Check whether Netflix.com is already added to the Websites list box. Select Netflix.com & click the Remove button.
- In the Add this website to the zone text box, type the following and click Add.
*.Netflix.com - Click OK.
Reopen Web Browser as Admin
You may want to close and reopen the web browser with administrative privileges. Right-click your browser’s icon on the Desktop, select Run as administrator. Click Allow in the confirmation box.
Fix Slow Network
Your network traffic may be inconsistent. Check if it is a slow network issue and try to diagnose it.
- Type Network Problems in the Search Box on the Taskbar.
- Open Identify and repair network problems from the Search Results.
- The new wizard will now open and automatically start detecting problems in the name resolution and other factors.
Upgrade Internet Plan
You may want to upgrade your Internet package or switch to another network provider.
Reinstall Netflix from Scratch
- Press Windows Key + X, select Run.
- In the new Run dialog, type regedit
- Click OK.
- Locate the following subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ - Delete the subkey named Netflix. (Right click, select Delete)
- Click Start, select Settings.
- Click System icon, and then Apps & Features tab.
- Click Netflix app, and then Uninstall button.
- After uninstalling it, reboot.
- Reinstall Netflix to recreate deleted entries with correct information.
Delete Temporary Application Data
Your temporary data is corrupted. Remove it and check if the problem still persists.
- Exit Netflix.
- Double click This PC icon on Desktop.
- Open the following directory:
C:\Windows\Temp\Netflix - Delete all files from the Netflix subfolder.
Set Appropriate Date-Time Settings
Your computer’s date-time settings may be incorrect. Make the appropriate changes as shown below:
- Right-click on the Date-Time area of the Taskbar.
- Select Adjust date/ time.
- Switch the Set time automatically slider to left (turn it OFF).
- Click Change.
- Select the current date-time.
- Save the changes and exit the window.
Configure Silverlight Settings
Microsoft Silverlight settings have been changed. Restore the defaults as shown below:
- Type Silverlight in the Search Box on the Taskbar.
- Open Microsoft Silverlight from the Search Results.
- This opens up the Microsoft Silverlight Configuration dialog.
- Click the Application Storage tab.
- Select the Enable application storage checkbox.
- Click OK.
