Reduce Buffering Time in Windows Media Player
Change the default buffering time specified in Windows Media Player. Here are the steps to do so:
For Windows 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista
- Open Windows Media Player.
- Press Alt key to show menu bar.
- Click Tools menu, and then Options.
- This opens up Options dialog.
- Click Performance tab.
- Specify appropriate connection speed. Contact your Internet Service Provider for more information.
- Do not use default buffering. Select “Buffer __ seconds of content” option.
- Specify a lower buffering speed in terms of Seconds.
- Click Apply | OK.
