Runtime Error R6034 iTunes

Rename DLL Files

Check if the problem resolves after renaming QTMovie.dll file. This may fix runtime error R6034 iTunes.

  • Exit iTunes completely.
  • Double click My Computer desktop icon.
  • Open the following directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes
  • Rename “QTMovie.dll” file as “QTMovie.dll.old”

Reinstall iTunes and Related Programs

iTunes installation file can be corrupt. Uninstall the program through Control Panel, manually check and delete if the files are still left on your hard disk and reinstall the program again.

 

Note: If you’re using 64 bit version of Windows, replace “Program Files” as “Program Files (x86)”

  • Press the Windows Key.
  • Type “Control Panel” in the Search Box.
  • Click Apps icon in case you’re using Windows 8.
  • Open it from the Search Results page.
  • Click Programs | Uninstall a Program.
  • Right click the programs listed below and select “Uninstall” option individually for each program.
    iTunes
    Apple Application Support
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Software Update
    Bonjour
  • Delete the following files:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\CoreFP
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\iPod
    C:\Program Files\iTunes
  • When you’re done, restart the system.
  • Download iTunes from here.

Disable All Startup Applications

You may receive error R6034 iTunes if some startup applications are conflicting with the iTunes software. Clean boot your system, i.e. run Windows without loading any startup applications.

  • Press Windows Key.
  • Type “MSCONFIG” in the Search Box.
  • Click the Apps icon if you’re using Windows 8.
  • Open it from the Search Results page.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Select “Selective startup” and uncheck the box labelled “Load startup items”.
  • Click OK and restart your machine for the changes to take effects.
